It all started with Cardiology & the subsequent mess lead to Hemorrhage & it’s time for a Neurologist…
Then wanted to do a tracheostomy & then came ENT specialist…
Then a Pulmonologist to look after lung & respiratory related issues…
The for infection control came Infection Specialist…
Then for any urinary related issues came Nephrologist…
Finally Gastro Entologist…
You will be wondering what I’m talking about… Yes these are the many specialist I’ve dealt with for my dad in last 18 months…
The irony with these (doctors) specialist is they don’t collaborate or interact… It becomes the responsibility of the patient or the attender to connect the dots…
Things were not this complex when medical world had only general practitioners… In my personal opinion micro-specialisation has made thins complex than simple…
Today I’m familiar with most of the medical terms, procedures & processes… I’m confident of passing MBBS exams which once looked tough or impossible to me :)…
Still I’m inside the maze and hope i come out successfully on a Happy Note…
