Tooting my Horn
Started my career as a very low profile kid being an introvert, shy and self-deprecating person… Perceiving entrepreneurship for years has helped me erase all the negative traits in me and was able to instill a bunch of new traits and personality on to me…
So, What is one trait which is my favourite?
Self-Motivation!!! That was the first trait I wanted to instill on me and I that is my favourite…
Why Self-Motivation?
As an entrepreneur I needed loads of motivation in my early days… I lacked a mentor to motivate me or support me… So, was left with no other choice than building the trait of self-motivating me every day… I did following things to keep my motivation levels up;
- I started reading Success Stories of entrepreneurs…
- Keep listening to Motivation songs…
- Started reading motivation quotes a lot…
- Pasted posters with motivation quotes in my room & workspace…
- Wake up by thinking a motivation story or quote everyday…
- I take timely breaks to rejuvenate the mind…
- I blog to flush out all the trash in my mind…
- I talk and work with positive attitude people alone…
These initiatives slowly became an habit and from then on I needed no motivation for anyone else to pump me up… Though I still keep fighting uncertainties, inefficiency, criticism, fatigues & reasoning to push me up to reach my pursuit… I never fell short of motivation…
This is Tooting my Horn about a favourite thing about me!!!
Drawing a Blank

It was during 1995 and I was in my teens… Those days most of my friends and me were soo impressed and influenced in becoming a Don… Infact most of us tried to demarch an area like a neighborhood or schools to build our network/gang…
That is when one of my friends brother was hit badly by a school gang… It gave us a realtime opportunity to go for a road fight with a real time gang… We have never been thru such real fights in the past…
We immediately mobilised my neighborhood gang and marched directly into the Tigers den (to opponent gangs place) without any preparation…
We were fortunate enough to catch the leader of the gang alone and immediately our boys showed our might… It looked one proud moment to me..
In a predictable way our folks were aggressively over the lonely guy and;
- He was humiliated!!
- He was threatened!!!
- He was teased!!!
We also made him apologise to my friends brother… With all the pride we started walking back like a lion…
Hardly crossing 100 meatres his gang came and they started chasin us… In a jiffy all the Don’s who accompanied me started running… I had to elope from the scene too to avoid any humiliation and I started running by shouting I’ll make a Perfect Comeback soon 🙂
My athletic skills those days help me to run fast and escape without getting caught… That was my moment of Drawing a Blank…
For couple of years I had to live with the stigma of humiliation and I felt like a loser for a long time… Now looking back at those crazy days and silly thoughts I could just not stop laughing!!!
Big Decisions in My Life!!!
Since the time I started my career I had been put under a lot of situations to travel the path of normal life…
Frankly I was not OK in being a common man… I wanted to take The Road Less Traveled and make an impact…
So, I’m fortunate enough to come across tough situations and had to take a lot of big decisions to come across the odds…
Becoming an Entrepreneur: I’ve written it many times but let me tell it again… I had to overcome emotional pressure from my parents, no experience, no financial support and no mentors… It was criticism from all corners…
Breaking up of Partnership: Had to break a eight year partnership where I had to forgo a company I started…
Launching CCS: Started this company immediately after quitting from my previous venture… This was something started with the pain points of previous venture… Again no investment and it was a purely & professionally bootstrapped company…
Launching CT: It is version 2.0 of my previous venture… Launched it after getting peanuts as settlement..
Handling Legal Issues: For almost two years I had to face legal issues from my previous venture’s stakeholders… Facing the legal challenges has taught me how to handle things legally in India..
Breaking my Engagement: This is one decision which puts me into guilt sometimes… But we have to take some decision to avoid unnecessary complication after marriage… In fact that was a part of life where I thought if entrepreneurs are fit to get married..
Reinventing my Technology Business: Wanted to change the culture of the company and brought in a new CTO… Within a year the entire company collapsed expect my CTO & me… We again started it from the scratch and rebuilt the team as well as the company…
All the above things were big decisions in my life which I faced it and survived it!!
Suffered from Writers Block for last three days
Last three days I was stay put at in-laws house because of Ligament Strain… Couldn’t believe how these three days have taken a toll on my writing… Literally I couldn’t think, write or express anything…
I couldn’t even brainstorm the reason for the block and that is when I shared the situation with my friend Swaminathan… He explained me Writers Block and he said I’m suffering from WB bug..
So, I didn’t want to prod for reasons anymore and went out of home… Just wandered around Masaniamman Kumban Festival… That gave some rejunavation to my mind…
Immediately after coming home I could post a blog on the festival celebrations and now composing this blog…
Tomorrow I’m again starting my drive and hope my mind will be fresh enough to think and can win over Writers Block Syndrome!!!

Karma Chameleon
Reincarnation: do I believe in it?
As someone who is born in India and raised with Hindu values then Karma & Reincarnation are integral part of my living. So,I do believe in Karma & Reincarnation…
I don’t want to get into the scientific facts for the belief, but believing in Karma makes me think good and do good… To that extent I’m happy to live with that belief…
Whenever I think something bad and run over the path of evel immediately my mind thinks of Karma… That was how I was raised…
Scientifically we are living our thought process… Every time when we do a wrong the thought process in Karma makes us prisoners of guilt…
So, I believe in the concept called Karma, I’m proud to believe it and stay good..
Strained my Ligament
Decided to concentrate on my fitness and started walking from Monday morning… Then it was hectic walking related task for the whole day with some banking work and looking location for coffee kiosk…
Then on Tuesday morning was feeling some pain in my right ankle. But I didn’t want to stop the pursuit the very next day and I continued with the walk…
Then the same day went out to office and walked from parking to office, then walked up & down the stairs couple of time and got dropped at the entrance of the community and took a walk to home which is 750 metres…
On Wednesday I couldn’t go for a walk as the pain aggravated a bit… Then I decided to drive to Anamalai to meet my wife and started with the drive… As I drove I felt the strain in my ankle…
On removing my shoes my ankle got swelled and the pain became unbearable… Still I freaked without taking any medication…
Once I woke up in the morning it was unbearable pain and couldn’t walk… Then finally took some pills and tied a band… Now on bed rest for the whole day…
Sometimes over enthusiasm leads to disaster and not sure how many days it is going to take to bounce back to normal…
Looking to invent a machine to print Original Currencies of Countries ;)
If I’ve possessed any engineering skill where I could build a machine/gadget then I’d build World’s Best Currency Maker!!!
With this machine I could print a lot of money and with that money;
- I can get a lot of girl friends 😉
- I can party hard…
- I can invest in lot of startups!!! I can become an angel investor…
- I can do a El Chapo whenever arrested 😉
- I can produce movies and act as the Hero…
- I can buy some country and become it King…
- I can travel around the world…
- I can buy islands, yacht and private jets…
OMG have a log of crazy things coming in mind…
Pls comment what will you do if I rent the machine to you, for a day??
How has 2016 shaped up!!!
Started the year without much fanfare, party, expectations, resolutions etc. It was a simply start and spent the whole day at home.
But on business end it was very much happening 45 days, where each and everyday was productive and progressive!!
- It was time for reinvention for Cogzidel Technologies and a lot is happening there…
- It is progressive for Cogzidel Consultqncy Services too… A new initiative has be launched and Bala is at his best…
- We have resumed on the Coffee Shop initiative, a trimmed down version to start with… It is a Coffee Kiosk and we have started the setup process… Happy that a long standing dream has come true… We should be up and running by second week of March…
- Working on a pilot project for Citizen Journalism initiative… It’s a seven year old initiative and started working on this for a month now… Happy to see the pilot run is showing some momentum… We must be stepping into our Alpha run in 2-3 months from now…
- Personally working on my Crowd Funding project… Spending less than an hour everyday… Planning to go on to pilot phase once completing the Pilot Run for Citizen Journalism and Coffee Kiosk launch… Might be less than 2 months from now…
Even on personal front it is satisfying;
- Worked with my mother on wrapping up of banking work…
- Helped my mother to find vendors for house repair work… Though my mother is taking care of execution, I did the challenging part of finding vendors…
- Attended family functions along with my mother… Made my mother feel happy as I don’t attend any functions…
- Spent some quality time with my wife…
So, far I’m happy that I’m able to progress and balance on multiple initiatives. Though there are challenged and stumbling blocks, they are managed and was able to overcome them successfully!!
Today’s The Daily Post: Thanks, Hindsight
