Ashtamsa Sri Varada Anjaneya Temple History

Two decades ago, Rajamani Bhattar, a temple priest of Tirunelveli, brought up in Vaikanasa Agama tradition and an upasaka of the Anjaneya, was blessed by Guruji Haridos Giri Swami and he was presented with the idols of Sri Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, Anjaneya and a Shadchakra Saligrama at Thennangur.

The Swami had made an apocalyptic statement that the votary would build a shrine for Anjaneya.

In the year 2004, a divine call directed him to devote his entire time and resources to construct a shrine for Anjaneya at the spot indicated in his dream, at Peelamedu in Coimbatore.

Located on a spacious plot of ground tucked a few meters away from and on theCoimbatore-Avinashi road, opposite ESSO bus stop (near Suguna Kalyanamandapam) the Ashtamsa Sri Varada Anjaneya is endued with eight special features.

Hence its uniqueness in standing apart from other temples dedicated to the Anjaniputhra.

Normally Hanuman is portrayed with His folded hands praying to Sri Ramachandra.

But, the gomukhi-structured idol of the deity here, in Peelamedu facing west and measuring eight feet is of a different kind.

And many more unique featrues of the lord Hanuman can be found in this temple.

It is official thatKevin Pieterson has been axed & his international career has come to an end :(…

KP is one of my Favourite player & he will be missed for sure…

Here is KP’s response after getting axed:

Kevin Pietersen said: “Playing cricket for my country has been an honour. Every time I pulled on the England shirt was a moment of huge pride for me and that is something that will live with me forever.

“Although I am obviously very sad the incredible journey has come to an end, I’m also hugely proud of what we, as a team, have achieved over the past nine years.

‘I feel extremely fortunate to have played at a time of great success for England cricket alongside some of the best cricketers the country has ever produced.

‘I want to thank everyone for their fantastic support and I wish the team the very best of success going forward.

‘I believe I have a great deal still to give as a cricketer. I will continue to play but deeply regret that it won’t be for England.’

Dropped my mobile :(((

Was attending a phone call while walking my way home… After finishing the call my iPhone slipped from my hand :(… Yep I’m known for my sloppy hand and a lot of times I’ve been a victim of that;

  • Dropped my Nokia 6600 a 100 times… But I always admired Nokia for their rugged mobile which
  • 2005 my Nokia communicator slipped from my hand and crashed in front of my eye…
  • 3 months back my Galexy S2 slipped from my hand and crashed
  • Today it’s the turn of my iPhone :(… Fortunately it escaped with some scratches…

From evening I’m disturbed and couldn’t bring back my mood… Still struggling to concentrating on work and working ways on how to transform. Y sloppy hands to safe hands…

Walking down the memory lane

How many samosas can a person eat?

During my college days I use to eat between 8-10 samosas… Yesterday passed through this shop where I use to eat samosas with my friends… But I stayed away from eating samosa this time :)…

How many ice-cream can a person eat?

I use to eat 15-20 scoops… I went to this joint opposite to t-nagar bus stop , which use to be the point where we have ice-creams after college and disperse for the day…

20130921-131925.jpg

These days I couldn’t eat more than one scoop… For the sake of memory I just had a single scoop of chocolate ice-cream…

Cogzidel Day + Time with Better half + Meeting Friends + Commanders Meeting = Successful Madurai Trip

It was a pleasant drive to Madurai carrying Cogzidel Day gifts… Once reaching Madurai it was nice to relax at my new home, listening to the humming of peacock and watching the lust green view of western ghats :)…

Then had a nice 1 hour drive and discussion with Swami… Continued by Commanders meeting & dinner at Hotel Heritage, Kochadai… Then again back to home and had a nice four hour sleep…

Got up early the next day to receive my wife and bang she called from the entrance of my Apartment… Picked her up and went out for tea on a road side hotel… Thrilled that my wife liked something I got her :)…

Then it was time to get ready and went straight down to Hotel Fortune Pandian for Cogzidel Day… Man what a day it was and am going to carry the hangover for couple of more days… Thanks to all Cogzians for making my day… The day went till 10.30 PM with some time for meeting friends, some business discussions and some official meeting after the event…

The day Next also started early… Had to full fill an obligation to god which was long pending since my marriage… So, it was a 60 KM drive from Madurai to a temple called Thirukoshtiyur

Came back home by noon and spent some time with my wife… It was a gifted opportunity which we never got since our marriage ;)… This visit to Madurai has surpassed all my previous ones… Over all it was a Heart Filled trip which will live in my memory forever…

Fight for your Right

Was driving back from Bangalore to Chennai and it was a midnight drive… Drive was soo please t from Bangalore till Ranipet toll… From Ranipet to SriPerambudur it was a pathetic road full of pits… Literally had to snail on this stretch and even if I accelerated I would have ended up on a pit…

I was very frustrated and angry for the quality of service we receive in spite of taxed in the name of TOLL… Upon reaching SriPrambudur toll I asked should I pay the toll for the quality of road and I was asked to talk to the Toll Manager… So, here goes the conversation;

Me: Who is responsible for the stretch between Ranipet and SriPerambudur?
Toll Manager: We are responsible..
Me: Do you know the condition of the stretch???
Toll Manager: We have taken photos and we will be fixing the patches soon…
Me: Ok… Does it make justice to pay toll for the service??
Toll Manager: No Sir!! Old contractor has been sacked and we just took charge fromYesterday…
Me: Why can’t you collect the toll after fixing the patches??
Toll Manager: Sir!!! You need not pay Toll… You can leave…

Thought the gentleman was gentle in allowing me…I was still not hot convinces because a lot of innocent people were taxed for using this bad stretch…

Looking for a Lawyer specialised on Insurance Claims

My dad’s insurance claim for a Heart Bypass was rejected stating that he was hypertensive… Not sure if my dad would have studied that before taking the policy and also not sure if the agent would have told this to my dad…

Our second claim for a Hemerage surgery which is related to Neuro also got rejected… The reason because the Hemerage was cause because of a anti-coagulant used for treating heart…

I’ve read that the insurance companies always try to reject a claim… But being a good customer who paid the premiums on time… Since we have spent 10 times more than the insured amount for hospitalisation, I’m not bothered for the small money we will be getting…

Second the communication process is very slow and for every query I post I get a reply after a month… In some cases I didn’t get a reply and it was a problem with the postal department…

I’m not happy at the working ethics of insurance companies and I think someone should take make these people work… I’m composing a letter to ombudsmen on our case, but am yet to receive a reply for some of the queries I made…

Also I’ve lots of doubts and thought it would be better to work with a professional… So, I’m looking for a Chennai based lawyer who is specialised on insurance claims… Will be more obliged if someone cane be of help or can refer a good lawyer specialised on insurance claims…
