The Holiday Experience

This is one movie challenged to me to finish watching it… First went to my friends house in Yercaud and couldn’t watch the movie completely…

Then I got a CD in Madurai and again I couldn’t finish watching it because of my busy schedule…

Pon my next visit to Madurai I wanted to complete watching the movie and this time there was some problem in the CD…

Finally I accidentally played a movie without realising the CD was inside and not sure about the miracale but CD gofree paired by itself and I watched the movie hassle free… Finally a sense of great relief of completing something which waswalkways challenging me to QUIT…

COMING BACK!! I was impressed with the subject of the movie and not sure how I missed watching this movie on its release…

The movie revolves around breakups and how the leading ladies copes with that failure… Initial explanation on typesold love and the quotes were exceptional…

This movie would have helped me get some solace if I watched during my troubled days…. But even otherwise I ended up doing same things and it helped…

Over all THE HOLIDAY is a biography, motivation and challenge accomplished…

Mayakkam Enna

Mayakkam EnnaAfter a 2 week rehab in Coimbatore I returned to Chennai yesterday… It was almost a decade I stayed without watching movies for 20 consecutive days…

After returning I badly wanted to break this fast :(… So, the obvious choice was Mayakkam Enna as I’m a Danish fan, it is a selvaraghavan movie and yuvans music… But right from day one I didn’t get a good review about the movie… But I still went ahead…

After watching the movie I found nothing as uninteresting… It covers the reality of today’s youth… Their approach towards love, lust, passion and career… Only thing that puzzles me is the reluctance of our society is to accept he reality…

Personally i liked the movie very much and this is a movie for people who accepts reality, entrepreneurs and for people living for passion…

DeivaThirumagan – 5 Star

Back from watching this classic from Director Vijay…. Am proud that Kollyhood is producing more talented directors who are taking tamil cinema industry to high standards… Movie revolves around a father who is still a Kid and his daughter… The struggle a person to get back his daughter and how he give back his daughter for her well being…

My first aplause goes to Director Vijay for this master piece… Next is Vikram & I’ve no words for this guy… He is the only person who the fill Kamal’s space in Kollyhood… Wish Director & Hero wins tons of awards…

Some scene that carried me away;

  • When Vikram looses his daughter…
  • When a shop-keeper feels bad to demand more money from Vikram…
  • Vikram’s story narration to his Daughter…
  • Vikram & his Daughter’s communication in the Court scene…
  • Santhanam’s comedy…
  • Anushka’s expression when she comes to know that Vikram is retarded…

The Inner Peace

Just came out after watching the movie Kung Fu Panda II… The movie gave me a lot of answers for a lot of questions… I was able to draw lot of parallels from the movie… One such thing was the Panda – the dragon warrior (PO) searching & finding his Inner Peace…

Though the movie sounds comical it had lots of take away… I find my inner peace in being myself… I hate leading a fake life for pleasing others… I was happy to experience my inner self immediately after coming out of the movie…

It rained heavily outside & I went out an sat on the corridor floor when the whole bunch of visitors were standing… After my initiative a lot others started sitting on the floor… That moment I felt like a leader thought it sounded crazy…

That particular incident made me live the way I liked… When I came down I started my scooter & I was driving crazy on the basements bumpy floor… The child in me was out…

Then it was a fun ride… I wore my rain coat to avoid getting wet… My friend was mocking me that rain stopped and I got fooled by nature… But again our crazy four wheeler riders help be laugh back at him… They drove at a speed that they splashed all the stagnated water on us… I didn’t get angry as I got an opportunity to laugh back at my friend…

Overall I learned what Inner Peace is… I experience my Inner Peace… I thank Kung Fu Panda’s Master Shifu for explaining what Inner Peace is….

Hangover II at AGS Cinemas Navalur

My friend Sundhar wanted to see Hangover II & I was in no mood to go out of home as I had to baby sit Burger Boy (My cute little doggie)… Sundhar is not someone who use to influence and push things he gave up with reluctance… By the time I sensed he was desperate we were unable to get hold of tickets for the Day… That is my little brain pricked me about the hoarding about AGS Cinemas at OMR and lucky my as I was able to grab tickets for the evening…

As I didn’t want to take chance I searched for the location in Google Maps & it was cake walk as it was on the main road & very next building to HCL… We drove to the movie where in we had our Dinner at Nala’s Appa Kadai in Sholinganallur… We reached the theatre 10 mins ahead of the show schedule… It is a Big mall which where none of the shops were open and all that was lauched was the AGS Cinemas & the advantage is taking advantage of the Big parking area for just 10 bucks…

As we entered it was huge & nice… Also screen 4 was too big unlike a multiplex & the screen was half full that too on a monday, at a spot which was far off & the spot unknown for many…

Once the movie started it was fun right from the beginning… Always sequels disappoint compared to the first part & this movie has never let us down as it kept the same tempo… After 2 hours of hilarious comedy & laughing to the core brought me out of all the stress & I’m carrying the experience till date…

Over all it was a full-filling night where everything happened right & was upto satisfaction…

Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai – a Standing Ovation

My cousin insisted me to accompony him for the movie… He vouched for the movie and I was very much reluctant… Once when I came to know it was directed by Suseendran I got convinced… It was from the director of Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu & Naan Mahaan Alla

It all started with the trailer of my Thala starer Mangatha & from then on I was never let down… It was a well naratted movie with all village sentiments conveyed comically & finally breaking all blind sentiments like caste’ism, divine magic, enmity, a womanizer minor et more…

The stroy revolves around an annual Festival during April where Lord Azhar is taken in a Kuthirai (Horse)… That horse gets stolen before the festival and  villagers goes to a malayalam manthiravadhi to know where the horse… The fake manthiravadhi tells the villagers that the horse is in the direction of west and they will get it in 3 days… On the third day they get a live horse which belongs to the hero Appukutty… Horse is everything for the hero but villagers refuses to return the horse until the festival gets over… Finally the youngsters of the village help getting back the stolen horse and returning the horse of Hero…

It is a full fledged entertainer which much can be an eye opener for all villagers & narrated in a way which doesn’t hurt anyone… I personally give a Standing Ovation to Suseenthiran…

Cinepolis @ Royal Meenakshi Mall Experience

As my Bangalore plans were royally screwed I decided to stay inside my home the whole day of Wednesday… I decided to get out for dinner at around 9.30 PM… I remembered a neighbor who insisted to call him whenever I was in Bangalore… I invited him to have dinner with me & he spontaniousl asked if I had been to the Mall… I said I wanted to go but was that lazy that I stayed at home…

He asked if we can have dinner at mall & go for a movie there… I immediately agreed as I never let down a chance to watch a movie, I wanted to visit that Mall, I did nothing the whole day & I wanted to eat out….

Mall was less than 2 KM from my house and I asked if we can take a Walk?? But we had to take my bike as it was already 9.45 and we had to eat and go for the movie… We reached the place in less than 5 min & immediately we rushed to 4th floor and got ticket to the movie Source Code 10.20 PM show…

We had 20 min to have our dinner & immediately I finished my dinner in 5 min… But didn’t know my friend was a slow eater and I said I want to see the movie from the beginning and I went first into Screen 3… Yep Screen 3 & Source Code is my first movie experience at CinePolis

The very beginning to ticketing experience gave me a feel good factor about Cinepolis… Then the smiley welcome in the entrance was something pleasant… Screen was wonderful with ample leg spacing, clean, sound was good and over all a nice experience as the movie was also good…

Immediately after returning home i wanted to Like Cinepolis & Royal Meenakshi Mall… After liking Cinepolis page I immediately made a post in the wall telling my experience and wished they be consistent & to my surprise I got a reply from their Social Media team… I didn’t know they took Social Media soo seriously… On the right is the screen shot of my wall post and their comment…

Tees Maar Khan Hilarious

I’ve never had any best company to watch a movie unlike Mr.KaviRaj & how can I explain an experience if the movie is also Hilarious… Another thing which I want to tell before venturing into my review is that we went to the movie on time for the first time… Yep this is a miracle with Kavi…

Talking about TMK I was taken back to watch the movie owing to bad review on media and from friends… But the movie was great stress burner and I don’t know what made people to give it a thumbs down… I really enjoyed the entire movie and both half of the movie was quick with its screen play…

So here are my good pointers about the movie;

  • No say about Sheela Ki Jawani item number…. Music was awesome, Kate was hot and Dance was more than expected from kate…
  • Though Katrina Kaif had nothing big… She can get contented with Sheela Ki Jawani which is a must play song in all party…
  • Akshy Kumar was as usual casual with his comedy…
  • Akshy Khanna also did a good job & he best utilized his opportunity…
  • For a Sallu fan it was a gift to get a peep on Sallu with Wallah Re Wallah

Over all it was a treat and it was best time out after a long time..

ManMAdhan Ambu Review

Went to watch Man Madhan Ambu in spite of getting lots of negative reviews… That was a blessing because expectation on the movie was very low and finally I came out giving a Thumbs Up for the movie… I can understand why people give a thumbs down because the movie lacks the humor compared to Tenali or Panchathantiram…

But it would be a great movie for people who look for experience and that to dealing with Love & Relationship… No one other than Kamal Hassan can portray such a mature character… He has narrated lot of one liners which are though provoking and certainly I took a lot of message for my life…

Some more pointers;

  • Story is very subtle…
  • Nice comedy though not that much hilarious…
  • Trisha’s role is very humble and she has done a good job…
  • Madhavan has done a good job as a confused Boy Friend…
  • Sangeetha has over acted… But still enjoyable…
  • Neela Vanam song concept was well thought and pictured…
  • Oviya has been wasted…
  • Finally Kamal Hassan has done a fabulous job…

I personally give a Thumbs UP…
