Am planning to blow this and hang in my bed room….

DMK or AIADMK: Do I’ve a choice?

I remember the lines of my mentor Mr.Bala V Balachander “There is nothing called free lunch”…  Until a week ago I was telling people that I’m going to Vote for AIADMK in spite of my friends who favored for DMK… Though I’ve favored DMK all these years I’ve decided to go for a change because;

  • Too much of dominance of Kalainger’s family…
  • Involvement in India’s biggest scam till date (The 2G Scam)…
  • For Introducing Freebee politics into Tamil Nadu… Not sure how many people know it… Offering freebie’s in last five years had put the TN government coffers from positive to negative… Today TN has lost Rs.1,00,000 crore from its exchequer…

Of the above I mainly opted for AIADMK is that they will not enter into freebee politics… Now AIADMK joining into freebie’s I’m left with no choice… It is said that honoring freebie promised by DMK or AIADMK will put TN exchequer into deficit of Rs.2,50,000/- crore in another 5 years…

When down-trodden states like Bihar started voting for good governance; it is sad to see a educated state like TN is going back to dogs… We are all happy with the peanuts offered that too from our own tax money…

Now both the predominant dravidian parties option for freebie politics I’m left with no choice :(… Now I’m confused as to what to do next… Also I considered to go for 49(O) but that is going to make no sense…

With lot of thinking I might vote for AIADMK if elections happened tomorrow;

  • Since I’ve never favored a coalition government in the State… I’ve seen the case of coalition government in Karnataka under Janata-Dal(S) which has taken Karnataka back… Since AIADMK is contesting 160 seats I want to give a clear mandate for them… DMK contesting 120 seats it is difficult for them to win all 120 seats…
  • My assumption is JJ being iron-fist would take bold decisions and can go back from her freebie promises if given a clear mandate…

Though I’m not happy with both the dravidian parties I’d go with AIADMK for the moment… But it is too early to confirm because there are 2 more weeks and I might consider a shift based on annexure to poll promises…

Getting Bored with Media

Yesterday I got annoyed while switching news channels… Almost all channeld were reporting only about Indo – Pak semi-finals as if there was no news around the world… It is all about;

  • Commandos taking over the security of stadium…
  • Dr.Manmohan Singh’s Invite to Pak’s PM & President…
  • Mr.Gilani’s acceptance to India’s Invitation…
  • Match Prediction…

etc etc… There was nothing special watching TV on a sunday which had nothing to report… Also am worried that for next two days it would only be same news… Must find out ways to stay away from TV for next 2 – 3 days…

Live bloging from Pasha

Pasha is one place where I had only happy memories… In fact when I had to migrate to Madurai for a year this was the only place that I missed…

This is a place I went for bottom fishing & gained some business networks….

Am in this place after almost 2 years… A lot has changed since then like;

  • No party beyond 3 AM
  • Not a single old friend of mine is here
  • It is not a Jam packed crowd

Only difference is I entered as a stag this time…

And the only similarity is Anand Nataraj… He has never changed & still his hunt continues……………

Am missing Something

For last couple of days I’m into introspection mode… I don’t know what it is; but I always feel like missing something…

It all started the day when my parents asked me to delete the pictures of me having toddy…

So findings of my introspection is; I’ve not been doing my crazy things I use to do like;

  • Travelling
  • Watching Movies
  • Itz been a while since I drank like crazy & behaved crazy
  • Since I partied

Interestingly my parents are happy these days as I’m not going out & come home at odd hours & spending money. For them all above things are irresponsible behaviours…

So henceforth I’ve decided to take a Sabbatical for a week every month & go to Bangalore or Madurai to lead a life of my wish… Then be in Chennai & lead a life as per my parents wish…

Feeling’less Days

Last two days have been very dull in terms of personal feelings or emotions are concerned…

To my surprise I didn’t feel happy or excited or angry or confused or confident… I was neither feeling high nor down… I didn’t feel love / lust for pass bying girls… I didn’t think I laughed for a second in these two days…

I can’t remember if I had been thru such a phase in life before… Is this a part or sainthood??

But one thing is for sure… I’ve not travelled in these two days either on the correct side or on the wrong side…

I take this as two days of maintenance shut-down for my machine called Brain as it was hardly used in these two days…

Temple Visit to Kerala

I woke by 3.45 AM & was the got ready by time… With the help of Hotel’s watchman we had everything ready in place at Devi Temple, Kadampuza…

I admit Kerala temple’s are the best place for worship as temples are maintained clean, devotees are disciplined & priests are not money minded… All these gives best divine experience unlike temples in Tamil Nadu…

We finished preying & were back to the hotel by 7 & we had our Breakfast, checked out & immediately drove to Thirumanthakunnu Templein Angadipuram which was an hours drive from Devi Temple…

We reached by 8.15 & we had a glimpse at the or all gods & goddesses… Then we had to wait until 10.30 AM for Mangalya Pooja…

It was well organised pooja where all girls & boys who wants to get married were asked to stand in the entrance of Ganesh Temple & after a 20 min of pooja we had to wait and collect prasadam… I asked my mom to collect the prasadam & I went to the car to take some rest…

Half an hour later my mom came with 4 prasadams (2 payasam, 1 box of white rice & 20 pieces of adhirasam)… This was enough for Lunch for four & still we had prasadams to carry back…

From there I drove back to Coimbatore by 3 o clock… Immediately we started to see some places near Coimbatore… This experience will be blogged separately….

Coimbatore & Kerela Trip

Reached Coimbatore by 6 AM in the morning & I didn’t sleep for a second in the train… On reaching my uncle’s house & after having breakfast we were discussing about the agenda for the day as our original plan was to drive to Thirumanthamkunnu Temple in Angadipuram by early morning next day…

I asked my uncle if we can go & look for some land for investment in & near Coimbatore… Site seeing was planned for evening & I went to sleep…

When I woke at 4 in the evening these was a change in Plan & we decided to start our journey the dame day as we added Devi Temple at Kadampuzha to our plan…

We started driving by 4.30 PM & we did some small shopping in Palakkad & there was some mess created here by taking wrong route… By the time we crossed Palakkad it was 8 PM & we were asked to take a different route as the original Highway was blocked for Pooram festival…

Then we reached Kadampuzha by 10.30 PM & we stayed in a hotel called K.R Residency. We had a decent room for 600 bucks. After dinner we all crashed to bed…

I was not feeling sleepy as I slept in the morning & in SUN Tv it was James Bond movie Die Another Day in Tamil & I watched the movie till 1 o clock…

After bloging the time is 1.30AM & I’ve to get up by 4AM get ready & be in the temple by 5 AM…

Am crashing now folks… Good Night!!!

Ten things to learn from Jepan

1. THE CALM
Not a single visual of chest-beating or wild grief. Sorrow itself has been elevated.

2. THE DIGNITY
Disciplined queues for water and groceries. Not a rough word or a crude gesture.

3. THE ABILITY
The incredible architects, for instance. Buildings swayed but didn’t fall.

4. THE GRACE
People bought only what they needed for the present, so everybody could get something.

5. THE ORDER
No looting in shops. No honking and no overtaking on the roads. Just understanding.

6. THE SACRIFICE
Fifty workers stayed back to pump sea water in the N-reactors. How will they ever be repaid?

7. THE
TENDERNESS Restaurants cut prices. An unguarded ATM is left alone. The strong cared for the weak.

8. THE TRAINING
The old and the children, everyone knew exactly what to do. And they did just that.

9. THE MEDIA
They showed magnificent restraint in the bulletins. No silly reporters. Only calm reportage.

10. THE CONSCIENCE
When the power went off in a store, people put things back on the shelves and left quietly.
