The GAP

There has been a big gap since my last blog post… The reason is my busy travel schedule & the problem with my BlackBerry WordPress APP… I almost wrote 8 blog post but I couldn’t publish them as the app was throwing an error… I was in a helpless situation as I could hardly use my notebook which in turn made things difficult…

This is a classic case of dependance on technology & the effects of itz malfunctions… All these days I was feeling soo incomplete for not updating my blog…

Now it is time to fix my WordPress App…

Time to change my phone

The panel of my BlackBerry 8250 curve has been damaged & finally I made it to the service station in GN Chetty road… Considering the situation it is better to buy a new phone;

  • Chennai’s service center supports only app related issues…
  • Any physical services will happen in Bangalore…
  • Cost of servicing is Rs.3750/- & cost of a new phone is Rs.8000/-…
  • It will take 7 – 10 business days to get the phone…
  • All data will be lost & i’ve to take a backup of all files…

Here is the peep into the condition of my phone…

Why mothers are special

Got a call from my friend in Madurai to inform me about the accident of a common friend… Accident happened when my friend was returning from Trichy along with his wife, 2 kids & sister after attending a marriage… I was told my friend slept while driving and that to driving at a speed of 120 KM / HR…

My friend suffered injuries on his chest & leg… His sister was the worst hurt as her spinal chord was badly damaged and heard her condition was pretty serious… Then his wife had serious head injuries…

But what startled me was his 2 kids escaped without a single scratch… My friends wife hugged & covered the kids which saved them unhurt… On hearing this I was speechless… I saw how a mother instantly thought of saving her kids putting her life in the back-foot… I cannot imagine a relationship which is far more than a mother… I salute this mother & wish her a speedy recovery…

Also please pray for the recovery of my friends family & his sister a speedy recovery… Wish they quickly overcome the trauma physically & mentally…

Someone’s perception on FAILURE

Today I was searching for a friend of mine and i slipped into someone’s profile on Facebook… I was quite impressed to see the Favorite Quote of this person which was inspiring and motivating… I wanted to share it with you all;

“If you fail, learn, and move on, you’re growing.” ~ Robert Kiyosaki

Have you ever failed? If not, I would guess that you have never taken a chance on trying anything new – or else you are lying.

There is nothing wrong with failing – as long as you learn from your mistakes, modify your approach and try again. In fact the more often you fail, the sooner it will be that you finally succeed – provided that you do learn and keep trying.

You can only grow from experience and you only get experience from having a go at something. It may be more pleasant to succeed, but you can actually learn more from failing. But this is only if you are observant and take note of what you are doing and which things have worked and which haven’t. You then need to analyze what has happened, alter your direction and move on.

So go for it! Try, try again and if you don’t at first succeed . . . then try yet again. You will eventually get there – unless you stop trying.

My Phone Etiquette

There is something my friends, relatives, colleagues complain often is about me picking my calls… Even my mom blasted me a week back asking me why the heck I’ve a mobile… But I’m unperturbed or feel sorry as I’ve always disliked using a mobile… I use it out of compulsion thatz it… So here is my own reason for being a poor user of a mobile or for lacking basic Phone Etiquette…

  • First of all I speak with my core team members for at-least 5 – 6 hours a day…
  • Then talking to some good friends or attending a call from a old buddy will last another hour…
  • Then an hour on sending, reading & answering   messages…

Over all i spend one third of the day phone… I never pick calls when;

  • I’m at work..
  • I’m in a meeting…
  • I’m Driving…
  • I’m Sleeping…
  • I’m Reading Tech Blogs…
  • I’m Blogging…

So remaining time I spend on either of the above things… So, I’ve my own justification for my behavior and I don’t intent to feel apologizing as I feel my reasons are genuine… So, never try to convey or reach me over phone next time as I don’t encourage it… Kindly Text me and I’ll get back at a suitable time….

Home Alone

It is a very very rare occasion and to my knowledge I think this is the first time too… My parents were out of home & also my sister is not in India… So this was the first time I was staying alone in my house… My only companion was Burger Boy & I had to stay at home just to take care of him as he can’t stay alone at home…

In all those 4 days all I did was stay at home & didn’t go out other than the Movie I went on Monday… Also I didn’t invite friends or planned for a party… Though it was not so productive 5 days I was happy considering my cash drain… All I spent was 300 bucks for the movie…

I’m not known for staying at home & doing noting but am surprised seeing myself as I didn’t feel bored or I complained… All these 5 days ran like a Jiffy…

Since I didn’t goto office or drive or travel or visit friends I’ve nothing special to blog and that is the reason for a vacuum all these days…

Hangover II at AGS Cinemas Navalur

My friend Sundhar wanted to see Hangover II & I was in no mood to go out of home as I had to baby sit Burger Boy (My cute little doggie)… Sundhar is not someone who use to influence and push things he gave up with reluctance… By the time I sensed he was desperate we were unable to get hold of tickets for the Day… That is my little brain pricked me about the hoarding about AGS Cinemas at OMR and lucky my as I was able to grab tickets for the evening…

As I didn’t want to take chance I searched for the location in Google Maps & it was cake walk as it was on the main road & very next building to HCL… We drove to the movie where in we had our Dinner at Nala’s Appa Kadai in Sholinganallur… We reached the theatre 10 mins ahead of the show schedule… It is a Big mall which where none of the shops were open and all that was lauched was the AGS Cinemas & the advantage is taking advantage of the Big parking area for just 10 bucks…

As we entered it was huge & nice… Also screen 4 was too big unlike a multiplex & the screen was half full that too on a monday, at a spot which was far off & the spot unknown for many…

Once the movie started it was fun right from the beginning… Always sequels disappoint compared to the first part & this movie has never let us down as it kept the same tempo… After 2 hours of hilarious comedy & laughing to the core brought me out of all the stress & I’m carrying the experience till date…

Over all it was a full-filling night where everything happened right & was upto satisfaction…

Career Growth Meter

Got this forward from a friend of mine & I consider this a reality because I cane personally testify this myself…

Cashless Heart-full

My friend requested me to drive him for shopping… Being the end of the month I didn’t have a single dime; but i didn’t want to disappoint my friend & I swiped the last credit limit on my card to fuel the car… After our shopping my friend wanted to go for a drive… We normally drive to 24 hrs Cafe Coffee Day in SriPerambudur & since we didn’t have money we decided to take the Tirupathi road instead of Bangalore Highway owing to heavy traffic out there… I really enjoyed the drive as there was litrally no traffic & being cashless made us to explore a different route which will soon become our favorite long-drive spot…

We drove until Thiruvallur junction & we halted in a tea stall… My friend asked if I had any change & I got him all the change I use to drop in the car which came to 15 bucks… He got what he wanted & he returned 2 bucks back… When we were about the leave there was this guy selling Kulfi… I can never control myself my tongue when it comes to ice creams & I called the Kulfiwala without even realizing that we were short of money… When we asked for the minimum value kulfi he said it is 12 bucks & we were 10 bucks short of 10 bucks… I litrally searched my wallet and could not get more than 5 bucks & I was still short of 5 bucks… Then I inisited my friend to check if he had any change left in his wallet & he could get the balance 5 bucks…

The happiness I had that point was sky-high… It was like achieving or earning something big… At that point that Kulfi was like a priced possession… I started licking & I could cherish the taste entering my taste buds for each and every lick… Couldn’t remember when my taste buds had experienced such a great feel… At that point a bit of Kulfi missed my mouth and fell down & my expression was like missing Big fortune… Not sure how I reacted at that point but my friend noticed my reaction & he said “I spontaneously reacted like dropping something of great value.”

I literally came back to conscious only after finishing my Kulfi… While returning I was very much thrilled with that experience which was a common during schooling days where we buy an ice-cream to be shared by 3 – 4 friends & the the value of a couple of licks were countless… I had to personally thank my friend for the call he made which finally ended in me finding a new driving spot & an opportunity to cherish an ice-cream for itz full value…

At that point I didn’t feel like I was cashless but rather it was an experience which made me cherish & made my heart-full…

Experience every facets of life

I found this on my friends FB wall & it attracted me as I went thru and will also face more such things… But I love to overcome such experiences;

I Was Not Born Experienced,

But,
The Hard Realities,
Deceiving Natures,
…Broken Promises,
Double Faces,
Attractive Words,
Melting Emotions,
Lovely Feelings,
Harsh Truths,
Bitter Behaviors,
Loving Attitude,
Ignoring Acts,
Multi Standards,
& False Statements.

These All Taught Me What Is Experience.
