Asal Rocks

Asal is a treat to Thalai’s fans!! It is out and out Ajith’s show & one can see Ajith’s fans flocking to theatres and going bizzared on seeing his name and his entry.

Personally it was a great experience as a couple of my friends were fans of Vijay and they made all possible attempts to stop me from seeing the intro of Ajith. It was one of the rare occasion where i drove rash and used honking. Finally i made it to Mayajaal in 30 min from Kodambakkam & also made it on time for the movie.

Movie zooms in quick pace and there is no space for any discomfort. Though the music was a bit disappointing it gels well with the movie. Stunts were world class and so were the Costumes.

Sameera has done justice for her role and she has shed her dress more than in Varanam Ayiram and she is hot. Also Bhavana has equally competed with Hot Sameera.

Comedy is handled by Yugi Sethu. Though it is not greatest of comedies it is not boring either. One irritating aspect is there were some Vijay fans who were disturbing.

Over all it is yet another Hit for Ajith.

PayPal and Irony :(

Like i stated in my previous blog about PayPal issue we are getting tensed day by day because of PayPal;

  • They have our money and the customer support is very poor.
  • They never communicated about their new policy of not accepting “Send & Receive” of personal payments from India.
  • Even for business users if the payment is not specified as Service or Product the payment is automatically reverted back.
  • When we called them to ask what is happening it took almost a hour & half of authorization & escalation to answer us about our query.
  • Our query was about the status of the funds we have transferred before 7 working days and the  answer is not proper. Their SLA says they take 5 business days to send the payment. Now that has been upgraded to 10 business days.

Now having our hard earned money they are making mockery of users. We are working with our legal team to see if we can take PayPal legally. If any of you are affected by them kindly join hands. As too many drops forms a ocean and we have to show PayPal what professionalism is.

Let me shout once again loud and sound PAYPAL SUCKS!!!!!!

Cogzidel Technologies Office Warming Experience

We always learn from past mistakes. We took lot of lessons from Office Warming Experience of CCS which happened by September’09. So this is how it happened and how we were tangled into a new mess;

  • Kept all the Pooja things in office the previous evening.
  • Kept a key with me as last time we all reached office and we had to wait for a person to come and open the office and it got delayed.
  • The morning woke up took my bath and went to office as second person by 4.25 AM following the priest who came by 4 AM.
  • To our surprise there was a grill gate for which i didn’t have the keys.
  • Had to call the responsible person and falling prey to my parents piece of mind.
  • Had to hammer and break the lock.
  • Then things started after a delay of one hour.
  • Then folks like Kannan, Bala, Vimala & Boopathi joined.

Overall what ever things we learn from experience there are always new things that happens unexpected. Finally everything went fine and we started operations of Cogzidel Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Chennai.

Something Wrong with PayPal

All of a sudden all the payment we received from Paypal for last two days have got reversed stating personal payments cannot be sent or received for Indian accounts. Ours is not a personal account and i don’t know on what rational Paypal has revered the payments. All those payments are made by clients for delivering services have been reveresed and getting them back depends on the genuineness of the client. Also we have not received our money request made before 7 business days and now we had to slog to make salary payment. After all this we are getting an email form Paypal staff after 18 hours; Here is the transcripts of the email;

Dear Anand Nataraj,

Hello my name is Allan. I am sorry to hear about this situation, and
understand your frustration and concern regarding your declined payment.

We’re glad that you’ve chosen PayPal to send money to India.
Unfortunately, we’ve had to stop allowing personal payments (such as
gifts for a friend or family member) to be sent to and from India.

Any personal payments that you’ve recently sent to India have been
automatically reversed, and the money returned to you. If you sent the
payment with a bank account, the funds will be returned to your PayPal
balance. If you paid with a credit card, the amount will be credited
back to your card.

If you’re trying to send money for a personal payment (such as a gift
for a friend or family member), we ask that you find another way to pay
until we’re able to restore personal payments to India.

If you’re sending money for something you purchased, you can resend the
payment to the seller by following these steps on the PayPal website:
Log in to your PayPal account.
Click “Send Money.”
Enter the email address or mobile phone number of the person you are
sending the money to.
Enter the amount of money you wish to send, and choose the currency from
the list.
Select “Goods”, “Services”, or “eBay Items”, depending on your purchase.

Click “Continue.”
We are trying to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and we’re
sorry for any inconvenience.

Don’t forget, we’re always around if you need us. Just click “Help” in
the top right corner of any PayPal page to visit our improved Help
Center.

Sincerely,
Allan

I understand they might be affected by some policy issues from the local government. But any change must be informed and it must not affect the existing payments. Also they must know the difference between business account and personal account… Hope they sort their differences and offer good quality service in future…

Living with zero cash

Exactly on 25th January all my liquid cash has exhausted. This is because;

  • Of under performance during the month of December and kudos to X’Mas & New Year.
  • New Year bash expenditure.
  • Pongal holidays drained some liquidity as i watched two movies for pongal & i drove a lot.
  • As per my new year resolution i brought a iPod shuffle.
  • Brought some Golf Gears.
  • Saarang IIT cultural had suck some money.

All the above mentioned reasons were addition to my weekend parties, traveling & movie watch. You all can wonder how i managed to live for last one week??

Courtesy to credit cards. I’ve been traveling places without a single rupee and still enjoying to the core… Living without money and passing time is one of the best experiences i’ve ever come across.

WHO KNEW THIS???

I have been driving for many years… I would think I should have noticed the little secret on my dashboard that was staring me in the face the whole time…I didn’t…and I bet you didn’t either…

Have you ever rented or borrowed a car and when arriving at the gas station wondered…mmm, which side is the gas filler cap?

My normal solution was to stick my head out the window, strain my neck and look, try to see in the side mirrors or even get out of the car!

Well ladies and gentlemen, I’m going to share with you my little secret so you will no longer look like Ace Ventura on your way to the gas station or pu t your neck at risk of discomfort or injury.

If you look at your gas gauge, you will see a small icon of a gas pump?

The handle of the gas pump will extend out on either the left or right side of the gas pump?

If your tank is on the left, the handle will be on the left? If your tank is on the right, the handle will be on the right (see photo). It is that simple!

Goa Review

These days Kollywood directors have become too adventurous and they are experimenting different things. Though the movie comes good or not I’m happy because they setting new dimension to tamil cinema. Last weekend watched the movie GOA twice. I like the movie for two reasons;

  • One because it is produced by my sweet heart Soundarya Rajinikanth
  • Two it is A Venkat Prabhu movie.

First thing i can tell about the movie is it doesn’t disappoint and it is worth spending the money. Venkat has created a niche for himself and he doesn’t disappoint his audience. As usual there is not story line and it is the screenplay that is directors strength area.

The concept of Gay relationship in tamil cinema is different and that has been showcased very elegantly and also there is a Gay duet which is also cool. Yuvan has rocked with his music and all songs rocks. Premji excels in acting. I don’t know how Sampath Raj excels in acting in Venkat Prabhu movies alone. In all other movies he is mediocre. He has really shown expressions and mannerisms which gives a feel of watching a real gay.

I don’t know why Vijay is made a bhakra in almost all movies these days. Over all it is a perfect holiday to GOA.

One more enjoyable day

Reached home early in the morning after a boring Saturday party and straight away went to bed. Then I slept till the afternoon and had to wake up for two reasons;

  • Firstly it was my father’s birthday and had small party.
  • Second is I’ve fixed an appointment for second half of the day.

My sister woke me up to celebrate my father’s birthday. I must thank her for talking all these initiatives as I’m very bad at doing things like these. She has brought a cake as surprise and this is the first time we are celebrating my father’s birthday as he has always stayed away from us and I think this is the birthday where in he has stayed with us and we all as a family were at one place.

Since my father is a person who has very less desire we had nothing to gift him. So we thought of buying him some shares which he trades.

After the birthday party I rushed out to a place called Vedal near Periyapalayam to see a piece of plot. Again it was a finest drive which I longed for. We drove along old traditional roads of Tamil Nadu which were not affected by the expansion of highways. Then we travelled through a stretch of forest and finally came the spot.

I’m not sure if this place develops immediately or not. I’d love to buy a piece of plot as it is within my affordability and its been 3 years since I purchased a land. Also there are small mountains and it would be a perfect place to have a small bamboo house and spend peaceful time or also we can party hard as it doesn’t disturb anyone.

From there we went to the famous PeriyaPalayam Amman temple which is visited almost 15 years back and a lot have changed since then. Since it is a normal day temple was not crowded and we had a nice darshan.

Then while driving back we spent all the money and neither of us had a single penny. After a long time my bank account has gone empty and I’ve been living with credit card for last 10 days.  While returning we didn’t realize that there was a toll. Then we were thinking what to do and one of my friends asked me to get all the old toll tickets in hand. We thought we can elope by the time the toll keeper checks the right ticket.

To our surprise the toll has a barricade where in we can proceed without paying. Also the toll rate was Rs.31 and we didn’t have anything other than credit card. Then with brave face my friend gave all 5 toll tickets to the toll keeper and asked him to check which the right ticket is. Without even checking he opened the gates asking us to leave. We didn’t know if he realized if we were conning him or he didn’t have patience to check all the tickets.

It was a thrilling experience and for long I wanted to explore things without any money on hand. I always thought of putting myself in such a situation and it happened today. I’m thankful to god for creating such an opportunity and I want to be on similar situations even in future.

Over all it has been a very interesting and heart filling day as;

  • I celebrated my father’s birthday.
  • Went for site visits to buy land which is one of my hobbies.
  • Went to a temple which I use to visit as a kid.
  • And for the first time I experienced a situation to manage without money.
