Commerce ministry has proposed mandatory norms for making special economic zones (SEZs) green, a move that could raise initial capital expenditure by promoters and developers although it could lower operating costs in the medium to long term.

So what are those Green Rules?

  • External and internal lightning (minimum of 25% for internal) to be BEE star rated and solar lit.
  • Common space lighting to use LEDs.
  • Solar power to generate 50KW of power per ha.

Long Drive @ wired time

I and my friend Balaji enjoy long drive and sipping coffee. Today Balaji called me at midnight and asked if we can go for a coffee and go for along drive. Though we are 29 years by age still we live under the control of our parents, TII (That Is India).

I accepted his request and I took my car and we drove to airport for a coffee and I remembered by cousin telling he has to pick up his brother from airport and I buzzed him and caught up with him. In food court we enjoyed good looking girls and some air hostess. Also there was one girl who showed more glamour and we thought it was worth the visit.

Then we came out and spent some time with my cousin in the arrival point and again it was pulling down each other and some more bottom fishing (in simple words some more babe watch).

Then we drove back home through the new Maduravoyal outer ring road. Balaji was sharing about George Clooney movie which portrayed how Americans do politics with other countries and that was interesting topic for rest of the travel. Then all of a sudden we thought we can do some exploration at that time by trying new service lane route and it clicked. It helped us to find a new route to by pass the toll.

Through our smart thinking and risk taking adventure attitude helped us to convert fairway to freeway. Then we returned home happily for saving Rs.30 that we spend for toll.

ICICI Bank and irony continues…

Again my irony with ICICI bank continues. I posted a blog showcasing my experience with them. You can this blog http://www.anandnataraj.com/me-icici-cibil for more info.

clip_image001Now I received this letter from ICICI bank on 22nd July 2009 which says a Lien was attached on my account for non payment my credit card. It further said they will be doing it within a week from the time they have dated the letter and I received the letter after a week. By that time the money was taken from my account on 21st July 2009. Also in the last line they have specified to call their representative Saravathi specifying two phone numbers that too without an STD code. When I tried calling those number from my mobile which is from Chennai region I got Error on connection. I assume that number is a Mumbai number, but I didn’t try coz I thought it was unnecessary to make an STD call and waste my money.

What surprised me is all this problem happened during the year 2005 and I made a settlement during 2007 and four years from the problem they have taken money from my account and even after two years of making the settlement they have not taken my name from defaulters list. Which means still my name is listed in CIBIL. Thought I didn’t apply for loan recently my credibility has been put on stake for mistake on the part of bank. Even on the first time it was not my mistake but I didn’t want to make it an issue. But again for the second time this Bank has proved they are irresponsible.

I’d like to get help of you readers to take the bank on all possible ways and I’d like to have your experience and thoughts. You can help me by giving

  • Legal opinion
  • Possible methods we can take the bank like thru media, legal, ombudsmen etc.
  • Please let me know if you know anyone from media and would like to expose banks irresponsible acts which causes trauma to customers.
  • Also feel free to post it in your blog, share this in twitter and other social media methods.

Though the amount is not that big for me it created some issues to me are

  • Paying attorneys which wasted my money
  • Had to call and inform everyone whom I issued to Cheque to stop doing it and then adjust them which has wasted time and caused unnecessary mental agony.

I want to take the bank and expose their act because banks don’t understand the value of a customer and they take us for granted.

Here is the scanned copy of settlement letter and transaction receipt issued by bank two years back.

Modhi Vilayaadu thumbs up

modhi-vilayadu-stills-021It is hard to consistently watch good movies and off late I’m lucky enough to watch good movies and I can list Modhi Vilayaadu in the category of movies I enjoyed watching. But why I wanted to blog about is I can find some similarities which happened in my life. How will it be if a person suddenly looses every thing one day? I personally experienced it in my life last year.

Talking about the movie director SARAN has done a cool job and I can place this as his best in the list of movies he has directed. I can feel his friendship with Thalai Ajith as he has used Thalai’s influence where ever possible. He has really narrated the story very well and the twist after the interval is really well executed.

kajal-agarwalThen the heroine of the movie Kajal Agarwal deserves applause. Her expressions are very cure and her childish acting has over shadowed hero’s role the entire first half. To give some weight to Hero in the second half she has been totally eliminated and she hardly comes 4 – 5 scenes in second half. Over all I think she has a bright future and wish her Best Luck!!!

I think Hero Vinay Rai has fit well into the script and the role. Only missing element in the movie is Kala Bhavan Mani. Thought he is a good actor his personality doesn’t fit well for the role.

Other thing I liked is the Title Song and its picturised well. Hariharan, Deva and Lez Lewis have really added great momentum to the song. I’ve added this song in the motivation category of my songs list.

In short it is a must watch movie!!!!

My friend met with acccident..

One of my best mates met with an accident 2 weeks back near Trichy en route to Kodaikanal. It all happened because the driver slept and let the vehicle in a pit. My friend suffered a fracture in the nose and is still recovering from it. Also one of his friends fractured his legs. After coming out from this my friend emailed me the snaps of his vehicle. I know how he worked hard to buy it and the joy in his face was over helming. But today I can see the sadness in his face. He is more worried that his vehicle is no more. But I’m happy that he is safe. Here are the snaps of the vehicle.

Does Management know their Staff?

2q8na80

On walking into the factory, the Managing Director of the company noticed a young guy leaning against the wall, doing nothing.

He approached the young man and calmly said to him, “How much do you earn?”

The young man was quite amazed that he was asked such a personal question, he replied, none the less, “I earn $ 2000.00 a month Sir. Why?”

Without answering, the MD took out his wallet and removed $6000.00 cash and gave it to the young man and said, “Around here I pay people for working, not for standing around looking pretty!

Here is your 3 months salary, now GET OUT and don’t come back”. The young man turned around and was quickly out of sight.

Noticing a few onlookers, the MD said in a very upset manner, “And that applies to everybody in this company”.

He approached one of the onlookers and asked him, “Who’s the young man I just fired?”

To which an amazing reply came – “He was the pizza delivery guy, Sir!”

This might sound like a joke but in big organizations I don’t know how well they manage their resource. I’ve heard several such instances and not sure how far they were true. But I know a real case of my friend where in he joined the company for a temporary 2 month contract job for a HR assignment and he inspired his boss.

His boss didn’t want to miss him and he kept him on the silent rolls of the company for more than six months before he was brought lime light. Above story is meant to be a joke but it showcases the lapses in the system.

Driving to Bangalore

One of my friends has got an interview call from a company in Bangalore and the company has promised to reimburse him the petrol charge for driving to Bangalore. So we thought we can club that opportunity for a tour to Mysore or GOA.

So we are driving to Bangalore tonight and will be deciding where we will be up to once his interview gets over. As usual planning for drive his so high and I’m carrying a Red & White WINE bottle.

As usual we will be having our dinner at Khaja Restaurant Ambur. Other than that we have not planning much on how to spend time in Bangalore but for sure it will have a visit to Forum / Garuda Mall and I’ll have a tattoo sprayed for sure.

Sri Iyappan Tiffin Center Snaps

Finally took snaps of Sri Iyappan Tiffin Corner, Madurai. It is a small shop 10 * 10 shop which can server 8 people at a time and it is managed by one Chef who is also the owner of the shop. He is a multi skilled personality and he has some 4 stove and cooks 4+ items at a time and also he can take order and can mentally remember the items consumed by each customer and can make calculations. There are around 40 types of dosas and egg dishes and the center has been covered in Madurai edition of The Hindu. If you are in Madurai or visiting Madurai I recommend you to visit this eggiterian hotel which is open only at nights. If you need assistance for land mark kindly contact me.
