Name Cogzidel is one year old…

Today morning when I opened my mailbox came across this email from bala. Really can’t believe how time runs and last year same time all I had was the support from people like Major, Bala, Boopathi, Senthil & Bala Krishnan. That was the biggest capital I had and have. Last one year has been really cherishing and enjoyable.

Dear Cogzians,

This day (6th August) of last year, was a memorable day in the history of Cogzidel. That’s when the name “Cogzidel” was discovered.

After having a stomach-full of tasty meal served by Major’s mom at his home, the team of people consisting of me, Anand, Major, Balasubramanian and Boopathi, started looking for a suitable name for our company.

Happened to scan through many names and finally, selected “Cogidel”.

Anand suggested to insert “Z” in the middle as it would create an attraction – and that’s the name we got as “Cogzidel”.

Meaning: Cog zi del

Cog – someone who does important and routine function
Del – indicating prompt delivery

And today, a year is over since then and we realise how time runs so fast.

We are happy about what we are today and I’m sure next year same day, we will be in far more better shape and heights.

Work with great spirit and make it happen !!

Regards,
Bala

No help from ICICI Banks Nodal Officers too

forbesindia-cover_29th-julyI got this reply from Office Of Head Service Quality on Tue, Jul 28, 2009 at 12:27 PM for the complaint sent to Nodal officer on Tue, Jul 28, 2009 at 2:37 AM. Though they promptly skipped the damages point they promised to get back on or before August 3, 2009 and till date now one has contacted me. This month of Fobes India’s cover page says How CHANDHA KOCHHAR is remaking ICICI and I think she really has to do a lot of things.

Nodal office is the final hope for any customer and if that is inefficient only God must save this bank which boasts a lot about it. Now I’m left with no option other than to take them legally or escalate to Ms.Kochhar itself.

Dear Mr. Nataraj,

We acknowledge receipt of your e-mail of July 28, 2009 addressed to Nodal Officer regarding  your ICICI Bank Credit Card account number 4477 xxxx xxxx 4003.

The same has been registered vide Service Request SR113863258.

We understand that you have the following issue :

a. Reversal of the amount of Rs 7366.05 which is debited from your saving account.

b.  Necessary correction in the Credit Information Bureau India Limited (CIBIL) status.

We are looking into the issue and will revert to you on or before by August 3, 2009.

Sincerely,

Sri.Venkateshwara
Office Of Head Service Quality

I’m back again…

I was forced out of blogging for almost 5 days & Courtesy to the mess created by our web server. I was not even given an opportunity to say the famous Terminator punch line I’ll be Back. Initially I was upset with the web server and after investigation we came to know a part of mistake is because of us. Most of Cogzidel’s website were down and were restored quickly and anandnataraj.com was the last to get fixed. Anyway I’m happy it is up and running and thanks to Kannan & Bala Krishnan for their efforts to bring it back.

So it has been like living in a hell without expressing my thoughts and after making blogging as habit you can imagine how it frustrates. There were lots to blog like;

  • How ICICI and agony continues….
  • Visit to Balaji’s village in Mahabalipuram.
  • My new one sided love story.
  • Review of LUCK.

Now let me take some rest and start posting them one by one from tomorrow.

PIN compulsory for Online Payments

Reserve Bank of INDIA (RBI) has made PIN mandatory for online credit card or debit card payments.

  • PIN is in addition to other information we provide like Card No., Name, Expiry Date & CVV no.
  • Since it is a notice issued by RBI it is applicable to cards issued in India only. If your card is issued from any other country it will have a normal authorization process.

So this comes into effect from August 1st, 2009.

Another fulfilling day…

Today has been a contending day for many reasons. The day started by preparing a quote for providing Computer education for Andra Pradesh corporation schools. Then there were some official work where in I had to review some contracts, preparing list of things that my new CTO has to take care off and then putting my CTO as the single point contact for all technical help.

Then was engaged with some telephonic conversation with my CFO & Friends. Then I wanted to start my fish breeding which I use to do in my school days and then I located some spots in my house which would be best suited.

Then I got a call from my friend cum customer who said it was diccicult to come and sigh his IT returns and so I had to do the courier work. Thought Bala was hesitant to make me do those works I really enjoyed doing it as I’m not involved in CCS activities and I really enjoy working for CCS as it is a new arena to me. I drove to CCS office to hand over couple of signed IT Saral forms of friend and collected my friend’s Saral form to be signed and returned home as Balaji planned for a drive.

I came back home by 8 o clock and then had to wait for Balaji till 10 o clock to return from a birthday party. Then we handed over the Saral form to the friend and asked him to hand it over to bala tomorrow. Then we thought we can go for a long drive to Mahabalipuran through OMR which we have not explored much.

I was really surprised to see small tea shops and hotels which were kept open till 12 o clock mid night. We reached Perungudi toll by 11.20 PM and had to pay 30 bucks for a two way toll. Then we came across Baskin Robbins ice cream parlor and Pizza Corner. Balaji wanted an Iced Tea which was not available. Then we went to Baskin Robins and ordered for a Mango Tango & Mint Tango (Ice Cream blended with Sprite) and we enjoyed the drink.

DSC01324DSC01325Again started to travel towards mahabs and had to cross another toll where we were charged 30 bucks for a two way toll. I handed over a 50 rupee note and we got two 10 rupee coins as balance. That really excited me because I’ve seen that from one of my friend who had only one and he refused to give it to me. So, today I’m a proud owner of a 10 rupee coin which is rare at the moment. Then Balaji took on coin and retained one coin.

Again we thought this route to be expensive compared to ECR as we pay 45 bucks for two ways to mahabs. Then once when we crossed 200 meters the road was very bad as expected and we had a small change in direction. Instead of Thiruporur we went to ECR from Kelambakkam.

lightningEn route to ECR from Kelambakkam we had this back waters and good lightning. It was a special gift to my eyes. I’ve never enjoyed nature like this before. I was disappointed for not carrying a camera. Then after 10 min of enjoying the lightning we again proceeded to mahabs.

After reaching mahabs Balaji was telling me how nice a place it was two decades back as it is the home town of his mother and that was the place where he spends his vacation.  Again I’ve never been to mahabs at mid night and watching those carvings at night was a different experience.

It took 2 hours to drive to mahabs and while returning we had good topics to discuss and returned home within an hour. Over all I’m closing the day with a happy note… Thank you Balaji for giving such an experience… Letz explore more in coming weeks.

Bankers think they are over smart

This is the email I sent to Nodal Officer for Lien on my accounts. I got an acknowledgement from them which don’t have reference to damages for the agony caused.

Dear Nodal Officer,

This is to bring to your notice about the irresponsible act on the part of ICICI Bank which has brought tremendous amount of monitory, time and productivity loss which lead to great mental agony.

All my agony started 6 years back when I bought ICICI bank credit card without knowing then that it is going to make my life miserable. I’d like you to go through this blog to know what has happened initially.

http://www.anandnataraj.com/me-icici-cibil

Even I was not happy in making the settlement on 2nd March 2007, I thought my irony is over but it is not. I still had your collection agents coming and disturbing. When I showed them the settlement letter they conveyed an apology. On 22nd July 2009 I got a letter from ICICI bank on Lien attached to my account. I don’t know why it took one week to send me the letter. By the time I received the courier the money was taken from my account.

I can’t understand why it took 4 years for ICICI to take action and don’t know if you don’t even have a process to segregate customers who have made the settlement.

Now your bank has not taken my name from CIBIL, they have taken my money twice which has lead to tremendous mental agony and I don’t know if you can help me out. I’d definitely want the bank to refund my money and pay damages for the trouble it caused me.

I’ve also sent an email to Banking Ombudsman and also I’m taking legal opinion to goto consumer forum.

As a blogger I’ll also take all steps to spread this irresponsible act of the bank.

Also in the last line of Lien of account letter they have sent the phone number without STD code.

Attached scanned copy of Lien on accounts letter, Settlement letter, Payment Receipt.

Thank you for your time.

Regards,

It is nice to get their acknowledgement and a commitment on time but I don’t know how these bankers try to over smart us… I requested for Reversal, Removal of name from CIBIL and Pay damages for agony caused which they cleverly left it. You can check this paragraph in my email to nodal officer.

Now your bank has not taken my name from CIBIL, they have taken my money twice which has lead to tremendous mental agony and I don’t know if you can help me out. I’d definitely want the bank to refund my money and pay damages for the trouble it caused me.

The Proposal

propose-leap-year_6_444354aOne of my good friend called me and said he has got two proposals. He was happy that a girl proposed him and I was happier than him because I had good reason to ask him a treat. So today we went out for a movie and I thought it would apt to take him to the movie The Proposal.

I don’t want to talk more about that because it is someone’s personal and I didn’t get my friends permission to post even a bit of information he shared him (anyways pal if you read this blog don’t get hot because I didn’t specify your name :d).

Now I’m thinking how it would be if as girl has proposed me. Unfortunately not a single girl proposed me till date and not sure if I’d get that opportunity. I’m sure I’d have cherished if I had such an experience.

Thought I’ve approached girls for date and been successful couple of occasions I still envy people who got proposal from girls and strive to under go the experience.

Anyways let me not leave hope and keep my fingers crossed and wait for the lucky girl.

Back from The Proposal

the-proposalBack from watching The Proposal starring Sandra Bullock & Ryan Reynolds in the lead and the movie starts well with corporate humor and first half was fun and moves fast. Some where the director has lost track and second half been dragged long.

Now-a-days Hollywood movies resembles the Bollywood subjects and second half is like a typical north Indian touch of a rich family which has an heritage and a typical granny who takes over the climax.

Over all I was a great fan of Sandra during school and it is nice to watch her after a while and she still sizzles and movie is worth watching once.
