Went to college

After finishing my under graduation from Dhanraj Baid Jain College at Thoraipakkam(OMR) 13 years back… I had make a visit to apply for a duplicate Transfer Certificate…

A lot has changed in this 13 years…

  • The profile of the place… OMR is more of a village and all who where there were local villagers…
  • College had a deserted look with no maintainable….
  • College literally had no good infrastructure…
  • Students literally lacked discipline….

but I was thrilled to see a college which has got a real make over in terms of student discipline, infrastructure and more…

One thing  still remained was arrogant and tardy attitude of the admin staff… I had to slog and run pillar to post to get the degree….

Certain things were disrespectful and abuse of power… But I enjoyed being exploited and disrespected as we use to do such things as a student and I enjoyed those tasks as lived my student like for couple of minutes….

  • I was asked to deposit some money in the Bank (Personal task of the admin staff)…
  • I was asked to take them to tea stall and get the tea and snacks…
  • I was asked to drop them for lunch and pick them…

After all this I was finally given a Duplicate copy of TC…. I really don’t want to complain rather I want to thank the admin staff for giving me an opportunity to live a dream…

Surprise from a CCD friend

A surprise from a CCD Friend...
A surprise from a CCD Friend…

It was the first time I took my wife out for a drive… I wanted to sit in a peaceful environment and wanted to discuss a lot of things… I zeroed in on the CCD which is on Motel Higghway at Nazrathpet…

When I entered I was surprised to see a friend who was in Sriperambudur joint… Firstly I was feeling guilty as I forgot to invite him for my marriage… Infact my marriage happened against lots of odds… He immediately made me fee free and congrajulated us… Then I placed my order and took my wife to the table and started discussing about things I wanted…

Normally a cappuccino comes with a heart or leaf as design… My friend surprised my wife with this stuff… In fact he made me feel proud and happy in frient of my wife… Lot of small things can make a big impact… That is what happened that day…

I’d like to thank my friend for the gesture and this image would find a place in my album… It would definately be cherished forever….

Down with FLU!!!

Its the beginning of the week & I had to get up with Throat Infection, Cold, Cough & Fever… Though I wasn’t feeling sleepy I had to sleep to control my headache which occurs when I cough… Finally got up by 4 in the evening and started to get ready to office… Took some hot water shower, had some lite lunch just to take tablet…

When I was to start to office it was raining and thought of working from home… Within minutes rain stopped and there was clear sky… Then I scotted to office and immediately swung into work and finished couple of meetings…

By now I was too dehydrated and thought of going back home… Then I stayed back as I had to discuss a lot with my CTO and the check the progress of Sales & Delivery… Overall this is one other occasion where I’m  enjoying my work to the core as I don’t feel the pinch of flu…

Wish I have this wonderful days continue…

Just realized Age is just a number!!!

Age has always been a FACTOR in my life… I’ve always judged people with their age… When I use to take up computer classes during college days there were a bunch of people who were in their 30’s and I thought what these folks were upto in their 30’s… When I was in my 20’s when I see 30+ people in party I use to wonder what these folks got to do at that age… When I was nearing my 30’s it was the most uncomfortable part in my life… Until a year ago I was very reluctant to reveal my real age… I fake my age as 29 where ever I was asked to disclose (Even my FaceBook age was 25 until a year)…

Slowly I’ve started to come to terms and for last 6 months I’ve started revealing my real age :)… But these days I started believing age is just a number… Hollywood which use to accept heroine till 30’s has started to accept 40+ heroine’s too… Bollywood where heroine’s retire after touching there 30’s have started to prolong their career… Infact a lot of heroine in Bollywood has made their debut in their 30’s and they they have reached their peak in their mid 30’s…

Was researching about Bollywood heroine’s and was fascinated to see a bunch of top heroine’s were 30+… This must give me more reasons to be transparent on my age and in-fact be proud and understand even 30+ is a young age :)…

  • Am working almost 16+ hours in a day…
  • Working along with all the teams and that too on the floor…
  • Working with a very lean financial situation…

In SRMC Hospital

As said in my privious blog…. I started the day with mild pain and thought of visiting the doctor during the week end..

Over the night swelling increased n pain was unberable…. Had to streatch the night with unbearable pain… After reaching home it(pain) only worsened… Then called a doctor uncle of mine who asked to apply some ice and it gave immediate solace…

As always the choice was Sei Ramachandra Medical College (SRMC) as it is economical, legitimate & its near to my house…

Since i couldnt walk i opted for a wheel chair… On the orthopadic block there was confusion as to consult which doctor? As I requested to meet the senior doctor and the file I carried had the history that I was consulting a different doctor before… Yes last time I visited to check up a ortho doctor to get an opinion…. I was asked to get a new file to meet a doctor of my choice…. Considering the time taken for getting a new file i agreed to meet the existing doctor…

Again doctor was on leave and i was asked to meet his assistant who was sitting on OP block… I pleaded to take me to any doctor who can attend me immediately…

Since private consultation is expensive than out patient consultation they had to get doctors consent and finally I got the permission… Again I was taken on a wheelchair by a lady attender….

  • First she crashed the stressed ankle in the lift…
  • Then on a person who was walking…

Then went to the block and again the uninformed nurseidols me that I was sitting on women’s ward…. I said I could bare the pain and requested for a change in rule… Fortunately a senior nurse came and said it is unisex 🙂 ward and there was no bifercation on gendre…

Finally I entered consultation room where two doctors were attending (one male and the other was a pretty female)… As always I prayed that she attends me and as history repeats my bad luck continued…. I was attended by male doctor :(… I was asked to get an x-ray…

Then went to the x- ray ward and they said private patients can’t take x-ray in OP ward… This time I gave up and it was my friend Ravi who ran pillar to post and made it happen… After seeing the x- ray I was told it was a Ligament Stress and was advised to take rest for a week, wear a band and take pain killer pills for a week…

Not sure how am I going to manage next couple of days as my parents won’t allow me to anything until I’m fully fit…

Strained my Ankle :((

It was a while since i hit the GYM and i’m concerned on gaining weight…

Since my friend / colleague Sam was not reachable I thought I can just walk on my personal treadmill…

Upon starting to walk I got too ambitious and i started running… The impact was immediate i strained my ankle or damaged my ligaments…

Now my enthusiasm will keep me out of workout for some time :-(… Wish i recover soon and be consistent in my work outs….

Finally made it to Isha Foundation

Being a great admirer is Jaggi Vasudev’s speech and hearing about people’s experience about the benefits they gained thru isha’s yoga practices and the mental rejuvenation… I wanted to visit the place for more then 5 years now…

Since I’m undergoing a heeling process and didn’t get out of home for long, my uncle took me to Veliangiri Malai… It was a 30 KM drive and half way we got a call from a guest who was planning to visit us…

So we thought we can just visit the temple and return… Because of the fuss we just went to dhyanalinga and couldn’t make it for mercury lingam and missed a great opportunity to listen to sadgurus speech…

After meditating for 15 min in a very silent atmosphere gave real rejuvenation… I wanted to spend more time out there explore more… Unfortunately we had to return to meet the guest… After some shopping we headed back home only to get a call back from the guest that they are not making for the day…

Overall I’m very fascinated by the voluntary participation of high profile people… I always wondered how sadguru made people volunteer and work with high ownership… It is time to research more about him and his skills…

Missing Chennai Rains

For someone who hails from Chennai can understand the importance of rains… I’m fond of rains for many reasons;

  • I’ve seen the impact of water shortage during summer…
  • I use to get 2-3 days of holiday during my school due to rain…
  • My college will become an island and it would stay like this for at least a month or two… I’ve even travelled in a boat once… We see kids fishing during this time…
  • Rains make city look green as all the trees and plants will be covered by smoke and dust… It makes mind fresh

Though rains in Chennai paralises our life due to water logs, tree falls, drainage overflow, bad roads et more… I still love rains because it of lots of nostalgic memories where we use to stock snacks and play indoor games, adventurously driving my car on flooded roads etc…

I don’t remember a time where I stayed away from Chennai during November when it normally rains… Even during 2008 I went to Chennai and 26/11 Mumbai shoot out happened then… I was watching TV coverage whole day as it was raining heavily outside…

This is the first time I’m away from the City and November rains… I really miss Chennai Rains :((…
