10 years of Entrepreneurship & 2 Years for Cogzidel


September has become a special month in my Life as it is during this month that I started my career and that too as an entrepreneur. I still remember it was during September 2000 I started my first company in a Ganesh Temple in Besant Nagar during Ganesh Chadurthi. Then I didn’t know I’d have crossed soo many hurdles & would be blogging about it today.

Also my second venture Cogzidel was started during september 2 years back and again I cant believe it has been 2 years. I can still remember both the days afresh.

It was a wonderful journey which was a mix of;

  • Excitement
  • Learning
  • Experience
  • Betraying
  • Managing Cruelty
  • Criticism
  • Appreciation
  • Recougnization

It took me 10 years in life to understand only half what entrepreneurship is and I’m still learning. Now I’ve a past to show people about my performance. But time to redraw my future & this is how I want my future to be positioned or I want to be or I want to do;

  • Become an Angel Investor
  • Become a Business Mentor
  • Become a professor on Entrepreneurship
  • Experiment / Research on Entrepreneurship like
    • Social Entrepreneurship
    • Holding and scaling an Entity
    • Forming a Company with Crowd Funding
    • Run a Public Limited Company

Just understood where my heart is and slowly moving towards the direction of my passion. Finally on this day I’d like to thank all my friends, relatives & my associates who have helped me reach where I’m today.

I wish 2020 will have a lot more to Share than now.

it is going to be a hectic days ahead as I’m revisiting some process & dusting back some tasks that needs a re-look. So, my tasks for next month is going to be;

  • To train a webmaster who will be starting his tasks from tomorrow to update / manage following things;

    • Social Media updates on SlideShare, Youtube, Twitter & Facebook.
  • Start Leadership training Program.
  • Audit closed projects of the month to check if standards are followed.
  • Revisit SEO strategies.
  • Meet Recreation Club representatives and work on their functioning.

An Exciting Day with great Composure


Always i rejoice days where i worked with full satisfaction. I carry that happy moments along with me & will funny & accommodating.

But I don’t know what happened today. I wanted to be calm, silent & serious. Without me realizing I had a wonderful day at work and i did following tasks today;

  • Browsed Cogzidel.in & collected around 20 things which were bugs, suggestions & feedback for improvement.
  • Wrote a case-study for Cogzidel Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd.
  • Coordinated with Madurai folks who made me Happy by launching new product for CogzidelTemplates.Com.
  • Had a productive meeting with my CTO where we discussed;
    • Speeding delivery of projects.
    • Road map for Sales Improvement.
    • Ideas for new products.
    • Plan for Development for Internal Framework.
  • Had meeting with my CFO to discuss about;
    • Status of fun raising.
    • Collected tough cases faced to write case studies.
  • Even before writing this blog finished writing one another case study.

This is supposed to be a fulfilling day for anyone and anyone must feel high. But for me everything looks normal and I’m not that excited. I normally go out to watch some movie when I’m sad or very much excited. Today i got a call from my friend to go for a movie which i turned down.

But i feel happy because the new change in me is only taking me in the right path.

My first Case Study Initiative


At Cogzidel we have never documented all the solutions we solved for every challenge. I wanted to press folks in writing a case study and I wanted to lead from the front and wrote the first case study. There are more to come in future;

Challenge: We as a company didn’t believe on having a separate testing team to test our products. Because the projects were of short duration we always felt a testing team would make sense only after the development team unable to deliver results in spite of doing unit testing. But we were facing lots of challenges because of poor unit testing and many times we get a positive test report from our unit testers and our managers would pass the product to the client believing the words of their subordinates.

Most of the cases client comes back irated as there would be obvious bugs.

Solution: After doing a lot of counseling and giving reprimands nothing worked out as this thing got continued. We finally thought and got a suggestion from out CTO that;

  • Every unit tester must be given a target to find bugs in a product and we must have the bug report before sending to the client.
  • Team leaders must also be given a specific target for testing.
  • Team Managers also given a target on testing.
  • Final report goes to the CTO before sending project closure to the client.

Based on the number of bugs and size of the project CTO will analyze will recommend if the project can be sent for project closure.

Cogzidel Technologies Office Warming Experience


We always learn from past mistakes. We took lot of lessons from Office Warming Experience of CCS which happened by September’09. So this is how it happened and how we were tangled into a new mess;

  • Kept all the Pooja things in office the previous evening.
  • Kept a key with me as last time we all reached office and we had to wait for a person to come and open the office and it got delayed.
  • The morning woke up took my bath and went to office as second person by 4.25 AM following the priest who came by 4 AM.
  • To our surprise there was a grill gate for which i didn’t have the keys.
  • Had to call the responsible person and falling prey to my parents piece of mind.
  • Had to hammer and break the lock.
  • Then things started after a delay of one hour.
  • Then folks like Kannan, Bala, Vimala & Boopathi joined.

Overall what ever things we learn from experience there are always new things that happens unexpected. Finally everything went fine and we started operations of Cogzidel Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Chennai.

Stated with high energy from the temple city of Madurai. Cogzidel Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has accomplished a milestone in its journey to glory. Here are some of the synopsis for CT;

  • Developed Low cost specialty template selling website CogzidelTemplates.Com with more than 1,00,000/- downloads of free and low cost templates.
  • Benefitted by low overheads in a Tier II city and passed the benefit to the customers.
  • Inducted Mr.Kannan as director and into the core team.
  • Served more than 400 customers in a short span of 18 months.
  • Today we are into expansion spree and we have inaugurated our Chennai office with 30 seats.

I’d like to thank all the clients, all present and past employees, vendors and all stake holders who have contributed to this success. I wish to get same support from all the Cogzians to reach more milestone in future and reach great heights.

CSI’s New Office


It is always nice to see companies which you have whished to flourish well coming up in a great fashion. Yesterday was the office warming ceremony of Contus Support Interactive Pvt. Ltd.

This company was founded 2 years back by a bunch of my friends and today they have crossed a milestone in their life. When I was out from the company I founded and till I started Cogzidel I was consulting these folks.

I’m emotionally attached with this company as I was there since its inception and it helped me to divert myself from all the problems I was facing during that time. Even today I interact with the founders and pass on my suggestions and they reciprocate the gesture.

I must give credits to the entire founding team as they took the risk of quitting their high paid jobs from companies like TCS, Accenture, IBM, Southerland, Slash Support etc.

Today they have proved their critics wrong and have made their well wishers proud. Soon they will be moving to this cool office and I think it must be a treat for all their employees.

I wish Contus & team all the very best for their future endowers.

Dear Cogzians,

I am very much delighted to make this announcement. Yes! Cogzidel Technologies, one year and 4 months old baby is now growing and prepared to take a next step !!

Guess what !! One year and 4 months baby since it babyhood nourished by mother(Madurai development center) , now going to make an attempt to start walking.

Still any Guess !! Ok. Let me have the proud to break the ice.

Next step for Cogzidel Technologies – Starting second development center in Chennai.

We are starting our Chennai Development Center at Admbakkam ( Near Chennai International Airport – Hoping we will have busy schedule to fly often J) from 22nd Jan 2010.

This dream would have not come true but it happens only b’cos of you Cogzian. I am thanking individually every Cogzian.

We are just now making a small step forward and we have long journey to do, we as Cogzian have the commitment to make this organization as one of the best in the industry. We as team can rock anything in this world.

Believe it and Let us all fuel our energy  for the future to grow stronger and stronger, individually as well as a team.

Let us blow our bells and whistles to warmly welcome the new development center.
